WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Aug. 17, 2017 – Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is honored to once again be the official medical provider of the Winston-Salem Open tennis tournament, scheduled for August 19-26 at the Wake Forest University Tennis Complex.

While Wake Forest Baptist sports medicine physicians provide care for the athletes, other experts will offer health and wellness information to spectators including athletic shoe fittings, tips on healthy aging, ways to protect children from injuries and proper sports conditioning techniques.

“Caring for these elite athletes is just one part of Wake Forest Baptist’s comprehensive sports medicine program,” said Daryl Rosenbaum, M.D., tournament medical director and sports medicine specialist at Wake Forest Baptist. “We’ve assembled a highly-specialized team of physicians, sports orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists and certified athletic trainers, to ensure that all athletes, regardless of their age or skill level, receive world-class treatment, rehabilitation and injury prevention education.”

Wake Forest Baptist sports medicine physicians also serve as the official team doctors for area colleges, universities and sports teams, including Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem State University and the Winston-Salem Dash.
