Jenkins Named to Lead Bariatrics and Wellness Services at Cone Health
GREENSBORO, NC July 14, 2017 – Dave Jenkins, MA, MBA, has been named director of bariatrics and wellness services for Cone Health. Jenkins was previously an assistant director leading Cone Health Regional Center for Infectious Disease and Cone Health Sickle Cell Medical Center.
In his new role, Jenkins will have responsibility for bariatrics, inpatient clinical dietetics, sleep disorders, and nutrition and diabetes education services.
Jenkins joined Cone Health in December, 2012, as manager of the Cone Health Nutrition & Diabetes Management Center and the Wesley Long Sleep Disorders Center. Jenkins is also a co-founder of the Service Veterans Employee Networking Group at Cone Health.
Jenkins is a master sergeant in the North Carolina Air National Guard. He serves as a staff meteorological officer.
Jenkins earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in history from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Cone Health, Dave was a math, science and social studies teacher for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.
