Novant Health expands cancer specialists in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, NC – September 17, 2017 – Novant Health has again increased patient access to cancer services by adding three medical oncologists to its team of cancer experts. Drs. Deborah Ann Bradley, Lilian Thomas-Harris and Obiageli Ogbata have recently joined Novant Health Cancer Specialists and are accepting new patients in the Charlotte office.

Bradley completed her medical degree and internal medicine residency from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. She then completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Bradley treats all cancer and hematology issues, with expertise in the treatment of genitourinary cancers.
Thomas-Harris graduated from medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She completed an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, New York. Thomas-Harris treats all cancer and hematology diseases with special interest in treating cancers of the lung, gastrointestinal tract, breast and hematologic malignancies.
Ogbata attended medical school at the University of Nigeria and completed her internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, New Jersey. She then completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis. Ogbata has a background in research and clinical experience in lung cancer as well as head and neck cancers, with special interest in geriatric oncology and disparities in cancer care.
Novant Health Cancer Specialists offers a full range of services for the care of adult patients with blood disorders and disorders related to tumors including breast cancer, lung cancer, leukemia and lymphoma, multiple myeloma, gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. The board-certified oncologists at this office provide accurate diagnosis and state-of-the-art treatments, while partnering with other Novant Health cancer experts to deliver the support and survivorship resources needed during the cancer journey.
Novant Health Cancer Specialists has three Charlotte-area locations: the Charlotte clinic located at 1718 E. Fourth St.; the Matthews clinic at 1700 Matthews Township Parkway; and the Ballantyne location at 14135 Ballantyne Corporate Place. The physicians seeing patients in the Charlotte location include Drs. Jennifer Dallas, Deborah Bradley, Lilian Thomas-Harris, Obiageli Ogbata and Nasfat Shehadeh. The Matthews and Ballantyne locations are staffed by Drs. Kathryn Brownlee, Nusrat Chaudhary, Adam Kuykendal, Lance Lassiter and Alfred Newman.
