Trane Showcases Latest Solutions and Teaches ASHE Attendees to Effectively Communicate with Hospital Leadership
Boston, July 8, 2015 — Trane will showcase some of its latest offerings and teach attendees to more effectively communicate with hospital leadership at the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association, held in Boston, July 12-15.
A leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, Trane will showcase the following offerings at ASHE at booth #1005:
Trane has expanded its lineup of Performance Climate Changer™ outdoor air handler units to create the industry’s most comprehensive air handler portfolio. The outdoor air handler units are designed to deliver increased energy efficiency, reduced operating costs, and improved indoor air quality and occupant comfort to serve the wide variety of customer applications. To optimize the environment of care in a hospital, Performance Climate Changer air handlers use the Trane Catalytic Air Cleaning System to combine high-efficiency MERV 13 filtration with UV-C lights and photo-catalytic oxidation.
Trane recently introduced the Trane® Sintesis™ family of air-cooled chiller which is now available for order in Europe, the Middle East, North and Latin America. Sintesis chillers are part of the Ingersoll Rand® EcoWise™ portfolio of products designed to lower their environmental impact with next-generation, low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and high-efficiency operation. Sintesis chillers offer customers a choice to use either R-134a or DuPont Opteon® XP10 (R-513A), a next-generation, low-GWP refrigerant to address sustainability objectives.
Trane recently earned Type III Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification and registration for the entire Trane® CenTraVac™ portfolio of chillers. Type III EPD verification proves the environmental claims regarding chiller performance and documents conformance with stringent certification requirements of the International Standards Organization. The certification provides specifiers and building owners independent, third-party verification of environmental performance claims. Trane EarthWise™ CenTraVac chillers became the first commercial chillers to earn Type III EPD registration in 2011 and now includes Trane Series L™, Series S™ and Series E™ CenTraVac chillers.
The Trane Building Advantage brand represents the suite of energy services offerings that assist healthcare facility managers with managing and operating efficient and sustainable facilities. The collection of offerings help facilities management staff recognize their buildings as assets by offering choices for delivering bottom-line financial results and furthering completion of regulatory require-ments. Offerings include: building controls and automation, renewable power and energy solutions, energy contracting, energy procurement and management services, energy management and services.
Representatives will be on hand to discuss Trane solutions and services, including Trane Air-FiTM Wireless and Energy Assessment, utilizing Trane Energy Optics[1].
- Air-Fi wireless technology for building controls replaces the need for wired building controls, allowing installations to be completed quickly with less disruption to occupants in existing buildings, while also providing greater reliability, simplified installation and more flexibility as building spaces change.
- Trane Energy Assessment, using Energy Optics features a three-dimensional graphic depiction of current energy use that helps hospital facilities staff make well-informed decisions about energy efficiency improvement opportunities that can lower costs and optimize the environment of care. Based on this analysis, Trane works with building owners to develop solutions and remedies to improve energy and operational efficiency.
